COMPANY OVERWIEW:
Created in New York City by two childhood friends, PenTales is an online and on-the-ground story-sharing network for artists.
To create a new way of engaging people all over the world in a conversation about the things that matter to all of us (love, fear, freedom…) and to connect those personal stories with the larger stories that unite us all.
DESCRIPTION:
We invite eminent voices to share their perspectives on a wide variety of topics, and simultaneously offer a platform for everyone’s unique contributions. We have live events in 20 cities around the world and a growing online user base. As our global network expands, we are building a true encyclopedia of stories in photo/text/video/audio – a catalogue of the human experience, one perspective at a time. Starting with YOURS.

PenTales in Lahore :
Last Wednesday, on the 28th of September, the 2nd PenTales event in Lahore took place at Café Bol, Main Market, Lahore . Café Bol in turn is a space designed to provide the open flow of intellectual exchange of ideas and works. The host for the first event here which was on the 16th of July, was Jeanny Gering.
For the 2nd event last week, the gathering was on a smaller scale than the previous time due to prevalent dengue plague in the city, as well as lesser promotion, as the café is moving to a bigger space soon. This time around, the lhosts were Maham Suhail, a poet and writer from Lahore , and Qalandar Memon, who runs Café Bol and currently teaches at FC College as the Professor of Political Philosophy. Other participants were Waleed, Sara Hussain, Samraiz Hafeez, Ch Faisal Majeed, Shiraz Khan and a couple of NCA students. The topic for this event is ‘Failure and Success’.
